Nicole D. Wagner, Postdoctoral Researcher
Office: 164 Riley Robb Hall
Nicole grew up in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada, and completed her PhD at Trent University (Peterborough, Ontario) investigating the reorganization of metabolic networks in zooplankton that are faced with nutritional deficiencies. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Wu lab, Nicole is using microfluidics to investigate quorum sensing and nutritional requirements of cyanobacteria to further understand the formation of harmful algal blooms.
Yu Ling Huang, Graduate Student
Office: 362 Duffield Hall
Yu Ling was born in Guangdong, China, and she moved to the US in 2004. She received her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University in 2011 and MEng degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University in 2012. In her PhD studies, she focuses on the roles of interstitial flows on breast tumor cell invasion using microfluidics.
Young Joon Suh, Graduate Student
Office: 362 Duffield Hall
Young Joon received his BS in Biological Engineering at Cornell University. As a graduate researcher in the Wu Lab, Young Joon is studying the effect that the sugar glycation of the 3D collagen ECM has on the tumor cell and tumor spheroid invasion. Additionally, Young Joon is involved in various tumor microfluidic device experiments to enhance our understanding of different chemokines that results in the chemoinvasion of the cancer cells and cancer spheroids in the ECM microenvironments.
Yujie Ma, Undergraduate Student
Yujie likes tennis, music, reading, writing, and hiking with friends. She dislikes politics.
Jane Kwon, Undergraduate Student
Jane is a senior is Biological Engineering. Her research focuses on quantitative analysis of cancer cell metastasis, as well as the investigating the effect of quorum sensing on cyanobacteria aggregation.
So Youn Moon, Undergraduate Student
So Youn is a senior majoring in biological engineering. She loves playing all kinds of percussions and dancing. Her dream is to develop treatments for diseases and make the world a better place!
Min Seo Kang, Undergraduate Student
Jason Zarate, Undergraduate Student
Jason is a senior majoring in Biological Engineering, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. He is particularly interested in the fields of microfluidics and drug formulation. Aside from doing research in Professor Wu's lab, Jason is a member of the Cornell Filipino Association and is a teaching assistant for biochemistry. He loves listening to hip-hop music in his free time!
